There is so much power in that statement. (And it applies to men as well.)
Sometimes we forget just how powerful and absolute God’s words are. Everything that exists was spoken into existence by God. All that lives, breathes and moves does so because God said so.
The sun rises because God said so.
The moon takes its place because God said so.
The wind blows because God said so.
Water flows because God said so.
Fire burns because God said so.
Trees bear fruit because God said so.
All of creation reproduces because God said so.
When you look around, creation follows suit with God’s command without doubt or question. And we ourselves don’t even question it. We have faith everyday that the sun will rise just as God said. But when it comes to us and what God has said concerning us, we doubt. Why?
Whatever God instructs creation to do, He enables it to do. He stands at the end and looks back. He wrote the beginning knowing the end. He speaks knowing the outcome. He instructs knowing the final result. He speaks knowing what will transpire in between. He commands knowing our ability. He doesn’t guess, estimate or hope something will work. He doesn’t gas us up “thinking” things will turn out in our favor. HE SPEAKS KNOWING because He is the One Who has planned and orchestrated it all from the beginning.
Some of us have been stagnant. We’ve been procrastinating. We’ve been dragging our feet. We’ve been doubting ourselves and our future. We’ve been uncertain about our next and unsure of our worth and ability. I just wanted to remind you that whatever God said to you, He spoke knowing that you COULD. Be empowered by that. Have faith in that and then ACT on that faith, for we know that faith without works is dead (James 2:26).
There is no failure when we follow the voice of God. If God said you could, DO IT. His word is all that it takes. No more hesitation. No more self-doubt for when we doubt ourselves, we are really doubting God, as He is Who works through us. Have faith.
